The pregnant wife sent Trankov into the arms of the guard. Maxim Trankov and Tatyana Volosozhar: “We have already given our daughter her first skates - That is, the salaries are not the same as in football

Something has happened that all secular Moscow has been talking about for several months in a row and the Russian media are writing about - Olympic champions in figure skating Maxim Trankov and Tatyana Volosozhar got married.

The solemn wedding ceremony of the athletes took place early in the morning in the Tver registry office. A few hours later, they went to the altar again: on the roof of one of the capital’s hotels, Maxim and Tatyana, in the presence of their closest friends and relatives, exchanged vows of love and fidelity, as well as discreet platinum Bulgari rings from the Marry Me wedding collection.

The bridesmaids were, in particular, a singer and a figure skater.

As for Tatiana’s dress, the figure skater preferred the creation of , which, judging by the pictures on Instagram, helped the bride while getting ready.

It is worth noting that this is only the beginning of the celebration - this evening the newlyweds will celebrate the joyful event along with 120 guests, among whom are expected Tatyana Totmyanina, and many others.

Let us remind you that close communication between Maxim Trankov and Tatyana Volosozhar began in 2010, when the skaters took to the ice as a couple. Over the past years, they have managed to win many awards, including gold medals at the Sochi Olympics. For a long time, the athletes were connected only by friendship.

However, a little over two and a half years ago, their relationship moved to a new level. And last New Year’s Eve, Trankov proposed marriage to Volosozhar. Of course, Tatyana answered “yes”.

Two-time triumphants of the Olympic Games in Sochi Tatyana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov became legal husband and wife on August 18. Their wedding can rightfully be called the most anticipated sporting event of the year. Rumors about the imminent marriage of Tatyana and Maxim have been circulating for about a year and a half - from the very moment they first won the team competition at the home Olympics, and then climbed to the highest step of the podium in the individual competition.

Shortly before the Games in Sochi, Trankov said that he and his partner were connected not only by a love of figure skating and a desire to win as many top awards for the country as possible, but also by a romantic relationship. They noticed more than once that they go out on the ice and perform the most difficult programs primarily for each other.

“I skate for Maxim,” says Tatyana. - And the audience always feels that there is some kind of “chemistry” between us. And I sincerely admit that this comes from the depths of my soul.

Tests

Looking at Maxim and Tatyana, it seems that they have lived together their whole lives: they understand each other perfectly, are ready at any moment for mutual assistance, and harmony between them exists both in life and on the ice. It is not for nothing that this couple, according to many figure skating experts, is considered the most beautiful in this sport.

They started skating together only five years ago. Before this, everyone had their own story. And it must be said that fate was not always favorable to Maxim and Tanya. Life seemed to be testing their strength. After all, they won the Olympic gold medals when their partner was 30 and his partner was 27 years old, which is quite a respectable age by figure skating standards.

Tatyana was born in Ukraine, where her father served. The athlete’s father is a military man, originally from Nizhny Tagil, and her mother is a native of Kaliningrad.

Maxim spent his childhood in Perm.

Tatiana: “I skate for Maxim. And the audience always feels that there is some kind of “chemistry” between us. And I sincerely admit that this comes from the depths of my soul.”

Both Tanya and Maxim began their careers as singles skaters. Later, each of them was transferred to pair skating. Partners changed, but neither Volosozhar nor Trankov achieved significant success in their duets. At the same time, they often saw each other at tournaments and mentally imagined themselves performing as a pair.

Even fans came up to us and asked why Tanya and I don’t skate together,” recalls Maxim. - I told the figure skating federation that I wanted to compete with her, asked to invite her to Russia. But then they told me that she was dating her partner Stanislav Morozov and would not move anywhere.

Lucky case

Tatyana lived for several years in a civil marriage with Stas, who was seven years older than her. The girl started dating him when she was 17.

But after the 2010 Olympics, the Ukrainian figure skater decided to say goodbye to the big sport. Tatyana was in excellent shape at that moment and wanted to continue training and performing. Stanislav supported the girl in her decision to continue skating. The only question was: who should she pair up with?

At the same time, Maxim broke up with his partner Maria Mukhortova. And then chance decided everything.

We called Stas, and I said that I was going to stop performing,” Trankov admitted. - He asked again: did I really decide? And then I tell him: “Well, if Tanya wants to ride with me, then I will continue. With any other partner - no.”

Soon Volosozhar and Trankov paired up under the leadership of the country's honored coach Nina Moser. Tatyana changed her citizenship. And just six months after the start of joint training, the couple confidently beat the current European champions Yuko Kawaguchi and Alexander Smirnov at the national championship.

“How did I understand that Tatyana was that same woman? She told me so herself! - Maxim admits either jokingly or seriously. “I thought a little and agreed with it.”

Love

Since then, Tatyana and Maxim have not parted. Their relationship very quickly grew from friendships - first into friendships, and then into romantic ones. True, at what exact moment they realized that they were made for each other, both cannot say for sure.

We won’t name the exact date,” Tatyana noted thoughtfully. “But once we became a couple, we communicated a lot and spent almost all our free time together; common interests quickly appeared. And so we gradually realized that we had found each other not only on the ice.

The only thing that caused concern among the couple’s entourage was Maxim’s hot-tempered and rather quarrelsome character. Proving that he was right, he argued with both coaches and partners. The skater’s mother recalls that in childhood, all quarrels on the ice almost ended in hand-to-hand combat.

True, with Tatyana Maxim became different: much more restrained. Now he gives vent to his emotions only during performances.

“Maxim has a very interesting, unique character,” says Tatyana about her beloved man. - Creative and persistent. I really like that he completes every task he undertakes. I love this persistence and, in some ways, even meticulousness in him.

Needless to say: a woman’s behavior greatly determines what her life partner will be like. Using the example of Volosozhar and Trankov, this folk wisdom becomes even more obvious.

How did I understand that Tatyana is that same woman? She told me so herself! - Maxim admits either jokingly or seriously. - I thought a little and agreed with it.

Offer

Fans of the skaters were eagerly awaiting the announcement of the wedding date. But Tanya and Maxim were in no hurry to go to the registry office. After the double victory in Sochi, they took a break: they went on vacation and enjoyed each other’s company. On one of these trips, Trankov asked his beloved woman that very secret question.

We went with a group of friends to Bali to celebrate 2015,” says Maxim. “We rented a luxurious villa there, and on New Year’s Eve, right by the pool, I proposed to Tatyana.

This was unexpected for me, I even shed tears of happiness,” Volosozhar immediately continues. - Maxim presented me with a ring from a fashionable jewelry house. And I told him yes!

The wedding was scheduled for Tuesday - August 18th. The young people wanted as many sports friends as possible to be present at their celebration, and for this it was necessary to adapt to their schedule.

And our future children will most likely have a double surname. But for now our thoughts are connected with preparations for the new season.

Registration

The offsite registration of the champions began at exactly noon on the roof of the Ritz-Carlton hotel, where the couple's relatives and closest friends were invited. Tatyana appeared before the guests in a pastel-colored lace dress from designer Alena Akhmadullina, with her father Andrei Andreevich leading the bride on the arm. The groom wore a dark blue suit and custom-made shoes - loafers with the image of the country's coat of arms: a double-headed eagle. The newlyweds wanted to organize a celebration in the best European traditions - with bridesmaids in pale blue dresses and groomsmen in formal suits. Tanya was supported by actress Anastasia Zadorozhnaya, figure skater Adelina Sotnikova and sister Olga. And on Maxim’s side were Olympic figure skating champion Fedor Klimov and Swiss figure skater Stefan Lambiel.

When Tanya appeared, a stingy man’s tear rolled down the usually reserved Maxim’s cheek,” a touched Nastya Zadorozhnaya told us. - After that, none of the bridesmaids could hold back their emotions. They are the perfect couple, just made for each other!

After the ceremony at the hotel, the newlyweds went on a traditional photo shoot - a trip to iconic places in Moscow. And at six in the evening, in a two-story Hummer, in the company of friends, we drove up to « Rose Bar" cultural and shopping center "Crocus City Mall", where most of the guests were already waiting for them.

Wedding

Before the start of the celebration in the restaurant, Tatyana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov signed a star for the “Wedding Alley VEGAS WEDDING”.

“I didn’t change my last name, because Volosozhar-Trankov is a worldwide brand, and I would have to redo a lot of documents,” admitted the happy bride. - And our future children will most likely have a double surname. But for now our thoughts are connected with preparations for the new season.

At the request of photographers, the young couple posed on the red carpet and even kissed.

We are very happy that so many people close and dear to us can share our joy with us,” said Tatyana and Maxim, already in the status of spouses. - But we won’t have a honeymoon - or rather, we had a rest, but before the celebration. There's training ahead. We’ve already been on vacation for a year and a half and already miss the skates. So we can consider that we had honeymoons before the wedding.

Famous trainers Tatyana Tarasova, Elena Vodorezova, Nina Moser, actress Anastasia Zadorozhnaya, TV presenter Yulia Baranovskaya and many others shouted “bitter” to the newlyweds that day.

The bride's bouquet was caught by another Olympic champion, Adelina Sotnikova. And the owner of the garter that Maxim threw to his single friends was Nastya Zadorozhnaya’s fiance, figure skater Sergei Slavnov. So the family of the Olympic champions passed the “wedding baton” into reliable hands.

The other day, two-time Olympic champions in pairs figure skating and Maxim Trankov played a magnificent wedding, to which 7D correspondents were invited.

- Maxim, Tatyana, you have known each other for more than ten years, but your relationship began only two and a half years ago. So it wasn't love at first sight?

Maksim: Yes, it turns out that way. At first we communicated like acquaintances: “hello and bye”, we met at competitions. Then they started skating together and became close friends. To be honest, I didn’t initially have romantic feelings for Tanya. Only affection, like to a good friend. But for her everything turned out to be much more complicated. As a result, Tanya became the initiator of the transfer of our relationship from purely business to personal. I must admit, I even resisted for some time.

Tatiana: Maxim always adhered to the rule: matters of the heart should not interfere with work. Therefore, personal life and ice were incompatible for him. And at some point, when we were already working together, I realized that I really liked Max. No, I didn’t come to this feeling right away. It wasn’t like I suddenly woke up and realized: I love my partner! We talked a lot, spent whole days together. Naturally, we became close. But at the same time, I knew how Maxim felt about office romances, and I understood that he did not consider me as a girl.

Tatyana: “At first we thought of signing quietly and celebrating this event in a narrow family circle. But in the end they decided that the wedding should be beautiful and magnificent.” Photo: Philip Goncharov

- And how did you turn the situation around? Did you have a frank conversation?

Tatiana: One day we were returning from a competition, and I insisted on a kiss. But no conversations like: “Well, shall we meet?” - at the same time it was not.

Maksim: Moreover, then I said that we should not do this. I was sincerely sure that this romance would interfere with my sports career. Although we had romantic moments before the kiss - some meaningful glances from Tanya, hints, but I chalked it all up to friendship.

Tatiana: Having heard this, I thought: that’s it, I won’t see Max. And of course, I was very upset, I even cried. I’m generally an extremely sensitive person: if something doesn’t work out, I get wildly angry with myself and worry... But Maxim began to console me, and somehow it just happened that after that evening our relationship began.

Maxim Leonidovich Trankov was born on October 7, 1983 in Perm, where he began figure skating. At the age of 15, in search of freedom, Maxim left for St. Petersburg, where he went to the skating rink with another future champion, Alexander Smirnov, who is now performing with Yuko Kawaguchi.
The first years in St. Petersburg were very difficult for two provincials (Smirnov was from Tver) without connections in the northern capital. Trankov talks about it this way:
“What a survival school in St. Petersburg is, I think, Sasha Smirnov and I can tell you better than others. What it’s like to live as homeless people, as we lived. What it’s like to spend the night in the stands of a stadium or in the trainer’s room at the skating rink. Parents, naturally, were told that we were living in the hostel and that everything is fine with us, but I think if my mother knew how things were in reality, she would immediately come and take me home.
The first three years I didn’t really train. I had a friend in St. Petersburg who periodically fed me, and if necessary I could spend the night with her. Smirnov’s parents came to Smirnov from time to time, since Tver is not very far from St. Petersburg, and brought jars of some homemade pickles and marinades. At the skating rink, we knew all the bartenders and waitresses, and they often allowed us to take leftover food from the kitchen.
During the night public skating, Sasha and I worked part-time in the wardrobe for a few pennies, and they also left us empty bottles at the bar. Over the course of a week, a whole hockey bag of these bottles accumulated; on Sunday we went to return them and bought ourselves Doshirak noodles. We lived on this Doshirak for two years."

Having changed five partners, Trankov began skating with Maria Mukhortova in 2003. First, the couple won the Russian junior championship, and then the junior world championship. At the adult level, Trankov and Mukhortova won medals at the European Championship three times: silver in 2008 and bronze in 2009 and 2010. However, there was a failure at the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010: the Trankov-Mukhortova pair finished only seventh and decided to end their joint performances.

Maria Mukhortova and Maxim Trankov

The reason for the breakup was also the dissimilarity of characters, both with the partner and with the couple’s coach Oleg Vasiliev. Trankov spoke about it this way in an interview:
“Honestly, I’m not particularly aware of what they say and what my former partner and coach are doing now. We have never been friends or congenial people. This state of affairs, in principle, could not lead to sports results. The crisis happened at the Olympic Games in Vancouver. It was really hard for me then. Nothing worked out... Now I won’t argue - at that moment it seemed that I had outlived my usefulness as a figure skater. I thought about leaving the sport forever. There are such dead spots in every person’s life. .. Then I built a kind of information defense: I didn’t read anything or listen to what they said about me. But I don’t have any grievances or complaints against anyone personally.”
As a result, Trankov found a new, seventh partner in his life - Tatyana Volosozhar.

Tatiana Volosozhar. Biography

Tatyana Andreevna Volosozhar was born on May 22, 1986 in Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine) into a family of immigrants from Russia: “My parents are Russian: my mother is from Kaliningrad, my father is from Nizhny Tagil (I was born when he served in Ukraine).”

Volosozhar began to engage in figure skating in Dnepropetrovsk, and then continued in Kyiv. Her first partner was Petr Kharchenko, with whom they won the junior and then the adult championship of Ukraine. At the adult level, the couple did not achieve much success and broke up. Stanislav Morozov (born February 1, 1979 in Yekaterinburg) became Tatyana’s new partner. This couple was quite successful, but never made it into the top three at the World, European and Olympic Games.

Tatiana Volosozhar and Stanislav Morozov:

In 2010, having taken 4th place at the European Championships and 8th at the Olympic Games, Morozov decided to end his figure skating career and Tatyana had to look for a new partner, who became Maxim Trankov. The couple decided to compete for Russia. Volosozhar admits:
“To be honest, somewhere deep in my soul, in its hidden corners, there lived a dream that Russia would mean a lot more in my life than just a neighboring country with boundless prospects. Than just the feeling of being a Russian compatriot. And so "Now there was an opportunity to become its citizen. How could I miss such a chance?"

Achievements

The Volosozhar-Trankov couple was able to compete for Russia in 2011. The couple immediately won the Russian Championship and became second at the World Championship. In 2012, 2013 and 2014 Volosozhar-Trankov became European champions, and in 2013 - world champions. In 2014, they became two-time Olympic champions in Sochi: first as part of the Russian team, and then in pairs competitions.

Video of Volosozhar and Trankov’s performance at the 2014 European Championships:

After winning the second gold medal in Sochi, Trankov spoke about the couple’s future plans:

“We have achieved everything we wanted. Of course, we are not saying goodbye to sports - we will rest a little and, perhaps, even return to the Russian and European championships.
Will we participate in the show? Well, we participate in them one way or another all year round - Art on Ice, for example. And if you mean “Ice Age” or other TV projects, then I have only one partner - Tatyana Volosozhar. And no star, singer or actress can fully replace Tanya for me and will not force me to abandon her.”

Personal life of Maxim Trankov and Tatyana Volosozhar

For a long time, Tatyana’s common-law husband was her former partner Stanislav Morozov. He is now, along with Nina Moser, the coach of the Volosozhar-Trankova pair.

Maxim Trankov met with a girl, her name is Alexandra. She is a native of St. Petersburg, but moved with him to Moscow. They met at the age of 15, and at 16 they began dating.

Maxim Trankov and his ex-girlfriend

However, after the Olympics in Sochi it became known that Tatyana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov are now not just a couple on ice, but a couple in life.

From an interview with Maxim Trankov after Sochi: “We were friends, talked. Then it just happened naturally. Each of us had problems in relationships before. That is, I didn’t break up with my girlfriend because Tanya appeared. Two unions "They simply outlived their usefulness. And I broke up with my girlfriend Sasha six months later than Tanya and Stas."
“We really have some kind of chemistry,” says Maxim Trankov. “It happens that people search all their lives and don’t find it, but we are partners, and our relationship is greater than that of a husband and wife.”

Tatyana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov are two-time Olympic champions of Sochi 2014 in figure skating. A beautiful couple on ice is a beautiful couple in life. They have been skating together since 2010 - and won the World Championship, four European Championships, and the Grand Prix final.

After sports, Tanya and Maxim got married, in February 2017 their daughter Angelica was born, and in September 2018 publishing house "BOMBORA" their autobiography “Two Sides of the Same Coin” was published. The main narration comes from Maxim, although the introductory and final parts were written by Tatyana.

The site, with the permission of the publishing house "BOMBORA", publishes excerpts from the skaters' book - about friendship that grew into love.

One day Tanya came up and said: “Max, I think I found who I wanted, let’s look at the puppies together.”. Of course, I immediately agreed, and we went to Mira Avenue, where the breeders lived. I remember we walked through the courtyards, went up to some apartment on the second floor, where there was a wild smell of dog meat, because the breeder bred several breeds of dogs at once.

We approached the pen: two white balls were running around non-stop, constantly squeaking, barking, fighting, and in the corner sat a beige little Spitz - very sad and lonely. Sometimes other puppies would run up to him, knock him down, and bother him. He got up just as sadly and indifferently and sat down in the corner again. I watched this picture for some time, then turned to Tanya and said: “We must take him!” At the moment when I said this, it was already clear that Tanya herself had decided so - she looked at him with loving eyes and mentally, it seemed, was taking him to her place.

We went home with the puppy - he sat in Tanya’s arms and was silent, patiently waiting to see where they were taking him. Tanya immediately went to the store to buy everything he needed, and sent me and the puppy to her and Stas’s (Morozov – website) apartment. It seems that he didn’t even realize that Tanya had gone to buy a dog, and I suspect that’s why Tanya sent me alone, so that I could take the first blow if Stas was suddenly unhappy. He was rather surprised.

From the very first days of his life with Tanya, the whole essence of the dog was revealed. It turned out that this sad, lonely dog in the corner was just a mask. Having settled in the apartment, he immediately began to establish his own routine, rushing around, gnawing on wires, slippers, doors, especially when Tanya left. He tore the interior trim of the front door, more than once or twice. And every time Tanya had to re-tighten the door in her rented apartment. One day he jumped on the door so hard when no one was there that he latched the latch and it became impossible to get into the house. I had to call a locksmith and open the door. In short, the dog turned out to be completely different from what we thought, and for his cunning and obsession with Tanya, we named him Dexter. At this moment, the TV series “Dexter” with a very controversial main character was very popular. After watching the guy, we decided that the name suited him very well.

Dex is afraid of me, recognizes me as the eldest in the pack, and he is simply obsessed with Tanya, like a real maniac. It is impossible to take Dex out for a walk if Tanya stays at home, you can only carry his resisting little body in his arms. He doesn't leave her one step. He sleeps next to her. If Tanya is cooking, he sits near her feet. Wherever she goes, he runs after her like on a string.

And he grew up not into a dwarf Pomeranian, as Tanya wanted, but into a medium-sized one. Although this is even better. Dexter is not a pocket version of a dog, but a real dog. Today he is already 7 years old, and he is a full member of our family, he even has his own account on Instagram.

The weather (in New York) was cool, so we sat in a cafe on the Hudson embankment, lay in the park, and went to the museum - to the aircraft carrier Neustrashimy. If anyone watched the movie “I Am Legend” with Will Smith and remembers the scene where he plays golf on the ship, this is the museum, standing on the Hudson. I remember that Tanya and I felt so comfortable and easy. We talked, we could sit silently on the bench, or Tanya lay on my lap. From the outside we probably looked like a couple in love... We ourselves already understood how good we were with each other. Even sitting silently on a bench.

Tanya and I have our own traditions. One of them was to send postcards to parents from every city we visited.. Even at the beginning of our journey together, when we went to Portugal, the idea arose to send a message to my mother by mail. I always wanted my parents to see the world with me, to see other countries and cities, but for some period of time this was not available to us. And then in Portugal I saw a postcard with views and thought that it would probably be nice for parents to open their mailbox and see this greeting from another country. At first it was an unexpected surprise for them, but now mom always waits for where and what kind of postcard will come from, and saves them.

Tanya was then inspired by this idea, and we went together to look for mail. Since then, we have sent our messages from each city. In exotic countries this becomes a real adventure. A different language, a different mentality, different signs - and you won’t always find email. From Shanghai we sent postcards up the Pearl Tower, where there is a small post office at the very top. From there, from a height of 468 meters, our greetings flew to Perm and Dnepropetrovsk.

After living in Japan for a month, Tanya and I became even more friends. If Stefan is busy, then it’s just the two of us. Take a walk together. Something to see - together. We talked a lot and became more and more close - not in a romantic sense, no. We became real friends. By the time we left Japan, we became family: I trusted her, told her everything, she knew my strengths and weaknesses and where I could mess up. And it was very cool for the couple!

I was simply discovering a new world for myself - I had never had such partners before, so that it was so easy and healthy to work and communicate, without trying to show who the leader is, without scandals. I have been in this sport for so many years and only at that moment I learned what it means to work in a team.

Stas, who was not only our coach, but also Tanya’s young man, behaved extremely strangely from the very first days in Moscow. His behavior seemed to me not to fit the description of the relationship between a man and a woman. It was impossible to say from him and Tanya that they were together.

When I came just to audition, we went to the cinema. Vladislav Zhovnirsky, Stas’s best friend, a former student of Moser, now the coach of Stolbova and Klimov, was also with us. We lived with him for the first time. In St. Petersburg, I’m used to taking tickets in the last row, because you sit, there’s no one behind you, no one bothers you, no one pushes you with your feet. Stas takes the second to last one. Well, I thought, with the expectation that Vlad and I would sit there, and the two of them would sit in the kissing places.

They took beer, Tanya and I took popcorn. And suddenly Stas says that Tanya and I should sit in the back, and he and Vlad will drink beer together in front. It was amazing for me. Later it seemed to me that I was a better guy for Tanya than Stas. I don’t know what it was, maybe the age difference - they didn’t have the same interests...

After (the victory in) Slovakia and before returning to Moscow, we decided to go to Vienna for one day. Take a walk and breathe before preparing for Skate Canada. Let's go again together with Tanya. Stas didn’t want to, he decided to stay in Bratislava and celebrate the victory, which, of course, did not make Tanya very happy.

Then I realized that Tanya was unhappy with her relationship with Stas. She was fascinated by the opportunity to spend her free time the way we did, and not just sit in the room and wait to go to the airport. This was new to her. For both of us. So much travel and constant walks together. And of course, Tanya was not entirely satisfied with Stas’s image and lifestyle. Sometimes there were times when Tanya came to our training sessions, sleep-deprived and upset.. It was clear that she had problems outside the rink...

Niagara Falls is one of the most impressive sights for me so far. Incredible power of water, incredibly beautiful - rainbow, splashes in the sun. I was captivated by this sight, despite my fear of water. It was not just beautiful - too beautiful. A huge stream of water, which erupts down two meters from you, and from there the spray flies back hundreds of meters, forming countless rainbows shimmering in the sun.

Stas didn’t come with us again... We were with Tanya. Again. And now, looking at this magnificent sight, We somehow suddenly realized that our strongest emotions are connected with each other. All the most significant things happen when we are close. All the coolest things began to happen when Tanya arrived in Russia. She was in Ukraine in a small town, then in Germany in a small town. I saw nothing but house, ice, house, ice. And here we have a lot of travel, shows, meeting champions, Olympic prospects, we are always discovering something new for ourselves.

Perhaps it was then that she began to fall in love with me, and I, a fool, did not see it. But I definitely began to experience very strong feelings for her myself - not as a woman, but as a person, a friend, a partner with whom it is always easy to communicate, with whom you have a lot of shared impressions, with whom it is easy and simple. I've never had anything like this before, and neither has she.

Tanya and I walked and talked a lot. It turned out that the decision to part with Stas finally matured in her precisely in Paris. I felt sorry for him, we worked together, he remained our coach, but I understood that Tanya couldn’t do this anymore. Recently, there were often disagreements between him and Stas due to the fact that Tanya did not like his lifestyle.

It was difficult for her emotionally, and the quarrels affected her work. They talked and finally decided to break up. Of course, Tanya was worried about their separation and went to work in order to think less about it.

We had a good rest before the show (in Switzerland). We walked again, fed the swans, and enjoyed the calm. It must have been very romantic, but I didn't realize it. Later, Tanya and I talked about this topic, and I realized what a fool I was for not seeing her attitude towards me. She said that she lacked attention, but I couldn’t understand what she needed: yes, I’m constantly on the road, but at the same time we text, call each other, I go shopping and buy her gifts. I bought an apartment for us in St. Petersburg, since I still could not imagine that I would stay in Moscow forever. And at the same time I get a constant reproach about my lack of attention.

I was so fed up with everything then that I decided not to write messages to her. If she writes it herself, I’ll answer. She didn’t write either, and we both stubbornly resisted. I constantly thought about this, maybe that’s why I didn’t notice the romantic moods hovering around me - I was always worried about Sasha’s silence, while my character did not allow me to get in touch myself, and my conscience tormented me and demanded that I finally call .

On an intuitive level, I drove away any thoughts about Tanya. Perhaps it was due to the fact that in our sport there is a belief that there should be nothing more than friendship between partners; personal relationships that go beyond these boundaries interfere. Meanwhile, Tanya was already free...

The breakup was close between Sasha and me. The relationship between us died long and painfully, but I did not admit it. I sat in Switzerland and indulged in self-criticism, waiting for a message from Sasha. She didn't write. We both struck a pose. I was angry. Sasha, apparently, too, and was probably jealous.

I remember that on New Year’s Day Tanya was already alone, without Stas, and I invited her to celebrate the holiday at our home. My parents and Sasha were there - a warm family evening. We sat for a while and our friends invited us to hang out. I wanted to have fun, Sasha decided that she would not go, but at the same time, as I already said, she had a bad habit - she began to get offended if I went somewhere without her. This time I decided that enough was enough and went to see my friends with Tanya. When we were returning, I realized that Sasha was not sleeping - she was standing at the window and watching us walk. Probably, from the outside we looked like lovers - we pushed, laughed, I tripped Tanya, and she fell into the snow, I pulled her out, - New Year, we had fun after the party. Nothing criminal. But as soon as I entered the house there was a scandal, Sasha did not believe that Tanya and I were just friends.

I walk in: it smells delicious, which means Sasha has prepared something for my arrival, but for some reason there is no box in the hallway, and the dog does not run out to meet me. I went into the room: I opened the cabinets and saw that everything was empty. Sasha prepared dinner, left it and left.

Of course, I called immediately, but she said that it was all over because I didn’t write to her, she didn’t want to hear any words, no explanations. No compromises. Everything had to be just the way she wanted. I decided that I had enough of the conditions.

In the final (of the 2011/12 season) we managed to attract attention to our couple again. After we skated a brilliant free program, it so happened that Tanya and I kissed emotionally. Right on the ice. It was unexpected for both of us, they wanted, as usual, on the cheek, but somehow it turned out, as in romantic comedies, that we kissed on the lips - in front of the whole stadium, in front of all the TV viewers...

What has begun! The rumor that we are a couple not only on the ice went out into the world. Everyone asked, wrote, speculated, we kept silent, and there was nothing to say. At that moment we were still just partners on the ice and friends.

Although I'll be honest, there was a point when the line between friendship and relationship began to blur. After the end of the World Cup, Tanya and I ran away from the banquet, took rose wine, cheese and went to the sea. We looked at the sunset, were silent, and when it got colder, Tanya leaned on me, and I hugged her...

After the show (in Shanghai) we were taken to a club for a party. Naturally, we celebrated the end of the show, and I met a girl - the organizer of the show from Switzerland. She and I somehow quickly found a common language, and I made an appointment with her. She agreed, but said that she needed to put all the guests in a taxi to the hotel and then she would call me. Tatiana looked at all this. We had a lot of fun, got into a taxi with Tanya, and suddenly she said to me: “Kiss me.” I was surprised.

I have already said that I have always had a taboo on relationships within a couple. And through the prism of this, I did not see Tanya’s changed attitude towards me, nor my attitude towards her - much more romantic than I thought about it. I began to explain that we are friends, partners, and this cannot be done, that these are just emotions after a difficult year, when we both experienced a breakup.

Tanya was very upset. I walked her to her room, calmed her down, hugged her and put her to bed, and I sat down next to her and accidentally dozed off. When I woke up, Tanya was sleeping under the blanket, and I was half-sitting on top of the blanket. And while she was sleeping, I looked at her and thought. What, exactly, are these stupid prohibitions that I have? Why not? Who said it's wrong? And am I really in love with Tanya? We have such a good time together, we always have something to talk about and be silent about, we always have a great time together. We know each other. She is beautiful, smart, charming, kind, sweet. Yes, I simply cannot imagine myself without her! And while I was thinking, I realized that I really was experiencing much greater feelings than I admitted to myself. What to do? And is it necessary to do something or, perhaps, let everything be as it will be?

From Shanghai we went to Japan for the Fantasy Show. We went there as a couple on ice and it was there that we became a couple in life. Later, talking with Tanya, I learned that she always liked her as a person, as a man. But at first it was not love, just like she was for me, I was a friend and partner for her. Gradually everything changed. When? She didn't even know herself.

We did not advertise our relationship. We just decided not to talk to the press about personal topics - a question about figure skating? No? Then the next question. We probably just liked this intrigue. We were happy and didn’t want to share it with anyone.
